19+ miles today. Jens drove me to an area further north. Beautiful day in a gorgeous area.

Loke was an unstoppable force. He RAN! :jiggy9: Not the slow, rocking lope that's the equivalent of a fat horse cantering, but real running. His traveling speed was about 8 mph which is nearly as fast as he used to be. He pulled lots, didn't want to stop. I'd say if Loke was 100% in January he was 85-95% today. That felt so great.

Lots of up and down in the area. Started out the ride in 40 F temps, but it got steadily colder. 2 churches and a manor house and beautiful scenery.

I'll be blogging the ride with photos naturally.

Yesterday's ride blogged with photos. Gorgeous snow-scape scenery on a beautifully clear day. Long detailed ramble that's a bit more coherent than my headache raddled blurb on here. :tongue9:

It really was a wonderful day and some beautiful photos.

I can't fathom how I'd ever manage climbing that much. Just boggles me when people do it. :tongue9: Impresses me too. Touch of envy that their knees let them. ;)

Another ride today. 8.67 miles. I'd meant to do the Börje/Old Uppsala Loop (18 to 23 miles depending on additions) which I've not attempted since rolling the trike along it March 2012, but Loke and I had a bit of an incident and the result was, I stepped on his 3-toed foot. Better than falling on him I guess.

I didn't want to risk him pounding the foot for 18+ miles so took a random zig-zag that led us through central Uppsala, including a loop around the cathedral and the main building of Uppsala University. 6-8 runestones too! I even got to look inside the small church next to the cathedral which is much older than said cathedral.

Not a bad trade for 10 miles less!

Got out twice this week. Not bad being only Tuesday. Not a lot of miles but finally enjoying some nice spring weather.

Hope others are out enjoying the weather also!

I'm getting insanely jealous watching all these posts about getting out on bikes, as I haven't turned a pedal in nearly 5 weeks, due to a shoulder injury. However, assuming the weather is good tomorrow I'm going to go for a spin on the ICE and see how things hold up. My upright bikes are definitely no go for a few more weeks yet as that would put too much pressure on the joint, so an excuse for staying recumbent, not that I really need one !

Good luck, been there waiting for the body to heal is a bummer. The good news is the fitness will come back quick.

Well I know what you mean. I haven't ridden since last years Recumbent Rally in May. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever put my feet to a pair of pedals again...or for that matter ever ride again.:sad9: I spend all my days at my bike shop...watching all the DF's and 'bents go by.

    Which Greenspeed do you have?

I rode the GTO with the group today. We did 31 miles in these east TN hills. That's the longest ride for me this year.

13 miles in gusting wind. 1 mile of that was DF, since I used up my recumbent muscles.
