    Along the lines of what calboy147 suggested . . . how about a tinted face shield for torch cutting. Some of them are already curved and come in different tints 3 or 5 I believe. I think they would be plenty big enough to fashion an extended visor.

    Just FYI, I've added a PDF file (in this post) that contains the shape of the carbon fiber visor for anyone who's trying to make their own. They should be able to download it, print it out and have an 'almost' life-sized template to work with. I say 'almost,' because when I print out the file the 11" wide measurement is only about 10-1/2" wide when printed out onto 8-1/2"x11" paper.
