So that's it - final ride of 2011, another 40 miles on the GTT making 1048 recumbent miles this year since June plus another 2000 across the year on a solo upright. I'm hoping 2012 will bring me a shiny new ICE Sprint so I can go "solo" and reverse the proportion of recumbent to upright miles next year ! or even better aim for 3000 all recumbent. In the meantime wishing everyone and their families/loved ones a very happy and healthy 2012. Adrian

I got one more ride in before the year is up.

    52.3 miles
    14.3 Mph average
    around 5000 climbing + or - 1000

I wanted to do the Endinburgh Gap ride and finally got around to it. I took it really easy going up because i have never been up this side of the hill before. It wasnt as bad as It looks.

I also hauled butt down Fort Valley Road to see if i could finish in the range of some of the speed demons around here.

    I missed 3rd by .1 MPH..lol 18.9 total

I bonked hard at mile 49 and had to hit a 7 -11 for some muscle milk and goodies. After taht i put the bike in the granny gear and limped home.

Nice day for a ride! Now I gotta do one tommorrow.
