    Buddy,

Thank you for your most gracious offer to ride and get my butt kicked by REALLY OLD GUYS!!! I feel the love in the air!!!

Unfortunately, I will be in Nashville through the weekend with my lovely bride. If I leave her in Nashville to go ride, I will REALLY have my butt kicked.

Thanks for the invitation. Would love to join you another time!

Nothing gracious about it. These rides are scheduled four to seven
days every week, year round. In other words everybody welcome. They
take all riff-raff, me included and so far, they have accepted me just as
    I am.

Ride report: We did Greene county Bridgeburner yesterday. Seven
of us. Close to 20 miles. Nice day, but very windy. The Zzipper was
welcome on the GRR. Mickey always rides outfront---out of sight.
Three strong riders and four super strong. Fine day.

Ned decided to lead a hike. He's the man. He leads the Greeneville Hiking
Club and what he says goes. I don't hike, so you can still come up and ride
on that date. We'll do it, unless it rains. Rain is to cold this time of year.

Rode the Natchez Trace today. Beautiful but cold day. Those continuous hills are killers.

Rode 25.7 miles in just under two hours. So I averaged less than 13 MPH. OUCH!!!!

Did a video of the ride, but my video editing software is at work. So next week I will piece something together and up it on RRI for those who are interested.

    25.7 Miles
    1987 Total miles
    13 miles to go!!!! :)

You're getting really close Jon! Keep up the good work.

Oh, and for me, averaging 13 mph is good, I can sprint up close to 20, but over the long haul, I'm around 12 - 14 depending upon the terrain.

Way to go Jon. For those who don't know, that's like 50 miles in difficulty in most places I've been. That is not fun.

BTW, the Greene County ride is on at 1100hrs, 12-10-2011 everyone
is welcome. Bridgeburners.......we'll go from there....44miles planned.

36 F, but I made it out the door for a ride. It was to try out my new windproof sunglasses/goggles. Loke was glad to get out. I should have worn another layer, but otherwise it was a good ride.

Less than 50 feet along, we met another husky. A beautiful male with black, symmetrical markings. They got to sniff before we went on.

Being a bit too cold, I kept it short, just 3.5 miles. There was a lot of ice on the paths. I almost needed a studded tire on my drive wheel, but Loke helped keep my speed up and fairly straight.

The glasses worked wonderfully! I didn't quite need the face mask, so didn't try it. My mittens are great too! :jiggy9:

A very cold 28F in London when we went out on the GTT this morning, warmed up to a balmy 37F by the time we got home in afternoon. 45 miles on the clock, fortified by a couple of stops for hot tea and a rather large full english breakfast for lunch ! Have been piloting the recumbent tandem since the summer and now have 965 miles under my belt, hopefully will get the last 35 in before the New Year, although don't have much time as spending a long Xmas with the in laws in Terii's part of the world. Friday I rode 7 miles to a meeting, 10 miles to work, 10 miles to the bank and then 3 miles home, for a total of 30 miles. I love days like this especially when the weather cooperates. I have got to the point were I only put about 10 gallons of gas in my car a month. This year I think I put more miles on my bike than my car.
