My Most Recent Ride 2011 (Part IV of the series)

Paul that is a awesome trike. I love the Catrikes..If I ever get a trike that's the one I would get. How's the ride?

 

Rode the Strada 20+ miles yesterday. Caught 1 wabbit. BEAUTIFUL day. That's it for me riding this week. Supposed to rain today and tomorrow. Then Friday I go to Sacramento for a meeting.

But last Monday & Tuesday were GORGEOUS!!!! If you didn't ride, you missed out!

 

Virginia Creeper Trail was nice yesterday and last week. Glad I live
close. Will go more often.

Another BEAUTIFUL day today. Rode 20.1 miles on the Bacchetta doing loops on the Cherokee Blvd. Lots of lady joggers. (Makes the scenery really nice!!)

On last weekend's ride to the local cider mill, Lowracervk2 paid me back for posting the video on 'chasing a Velomobile.' Here's his contribution, 'Chasing a NoCom.' He caught me on a flat stretch with a teeny uphill toward the end of the clip - not quite enough to make me downshift.

I LOVE IT!!! Both of you are going faster than a scalded dog and A LOT faster than I ride. I was out of breath just watching it!!! But it was fun to watch!!!

 

Well I laid off riding for a couple of weeks due to some back pain. Since then I have had the trike out several time but it seems with the sudden fall weather there aren't many bunnies to chase.

The new rail-trail was completed here in Columbus and we have worked out a really good down and out ride for the colder darker evenings. The first 9 miles on the trail are absolutely flat with maybe 100 feet of elevation gain. The next 10 miles are a series of rollers that really make you work with elevations of 6-10% for right at 1000 feet gain. Then the return trip we hammer back on the flat trail again. A good ride with very little traffic, not much in the way of bunnies or great views but we do usually see some deer.

Last night 29.34 miles in 1:56 on the trike 1256 feet elevation gain.

 

To bad, the SUN shines here, the leaves still in color and the DF's of all types are everywhere.
