Ah Buddy, not much climbing here compared to TN thats for sure. As for spinning, I have gradually gotten my average cadence up from around 50
to 80 and I can spin up to 100-110 for short bursts. However, my bad
hip will start complaining if I do that too long or too often. Them roses, now I smell them beside my driveway just before I pull out. The rest of the time its
    just pine trees.

Beautiful day today. Rode 20+ miles. Windy, sunny. 55 degrees starting. Now 62 degrees. Perfect weather.

So why aren't the rest of you out riding???

Bike Journal Stats. We only have 10 club members recording on Bike Journal. With our small group our average member ride is :woohoo: 378 miles :woohoo: this year! Our club is ranked 102 in the WORLD!!!! (They rank them by miles per member.)

So why don't the rest of you start recording your rides. I know you are out there riding. Just take 1 minute after the ride and put your mileage down in Bike Journal.

For those who know their mileage but haven't posted it, you can put a bulk mileage number then start recording after that.

Come on. It is fun!!! I am all by myself in 3rd place. I am "only" 500+ miles behind Brian and Ward and I am almost 100 miles above Curtis. Here I am all alone with no one to play with. :hissyfit9:

Come on folks, I need your help. A.D. made it easy by putting a button in the upper right hand corner of our website to Log Your Miles. And it doesn't cost you anything to do it. Once you become a member then say you want to belong to "Recumbent Riders International" which is our club. Once you become a member, you can see how you are doing compared to other RRI members. Since we are all spread out all over the place, it is a fun way to stay in touch with our riding.

Yes it is...and I'm inside planting seedlings for my herb garden.

I don't have a bike and am unable to...but I think Willie G is about to either take an existing SWB we have and blast it and have it re-powder coated for me and fix it up the way I want :jiggy9:or else he is going to have a new one built for me.:yes9:

Not for long...once I get my bike I'll give you a run for your money.:cool9: Then we'll see who gets to be in third place:jiggy9:

Ya'll are forgetting about Don, Dave and Buddy. You know all three of them are quietly going about adding up the miles. Well, Buddy maybe not so quietly with them motorized gizmo's.

I was out riding while you were posting..lol

Did 43.5 miles today, 62 deg very windy but a great day.

Around +2000 feet of climbing Average was 13 mph Wind + Gravel.

I got lost a few times so I had some bonus miles. I actually ran out of paved road twice and road on gravel for about 5 miles total. I am very surprised that the Rex did well on the dirt roads.

I am still playing around with the Playsport Camera and tried adding music this time. I just used some sample music that i found on my computer. I don't think you all wold like my real choice..lol. It was so windy i could not even hear myself talk on the mic so i muted it and just added a tune.

Good job man, you are leaving me in the dust. I was doing more yard work and had come inside taking a break. Beautiful day I would much rather have been on the road.

Beautiful afternoon with temps in the high 60's. The wind was still blowing 10-15 but much better than the 20-25 its been for the last week. Back up to Pine Mountain to work on those climbs for Bike Va.

Noticed a shed behind a house out in the country that was made up to look like an old McDonalds. It even had the golden arches. I had traffic on me at the time so i couldn't stop but next time I'll get a picture and post it.

Ended up with 29.1 miles in 1 hours 47 minutes for a 16 mph average
    with 2347 feet of climbing.

Curtis, sorry you have had a bad year. I hope it gets better and better. 2 miles today, 3 tomorrow a Century in September <g>

Dint get to post this till after I got home from work.

I got to play with another recumbent today!

9 of us from the Winchester Wheelmen met today and we went on a 24.3 Mile Ride. Lots of Fun-Jim was on his Gold Rush and the rest of were on DF's. I am trying to figure out why the camera is getting shakier.

The dog you see in the video almost bit a rider and was sprayed by doggy mace. He didn't want anymore after that.

    24.3 miles
    13.4 Average
    +1100 climbing.

Too much work to do in the garden, on the house, yard equipment and on the gasoline-powered 4-wheeled vehicles to ride in prime-time!

So I worked out on the trainer, which kicks my butt... since
the time left for riding was during the evening rush hour.
I hate that people hate rush hour: it reflects in their poor driving.

    Anyway, on topic:
I spun for close to two hours, reading through sweaty eyes.
My average "speed" was 16mph for 28 "miles" total.

    Phew!

Argh! Just can NOT catch a break! :hissyfit9:

The spokes and wheels arrived around 1 pm yesterday and I had tires swapped by 1:30. The trike was in the car with my husband gone somewhere, but I wouldn't have ridden any way. The wind was INSANE. I mean, toppling trees insane. We usually can't hear wind in our apartment, but we did yesterday as it roared around everything. Even trains to and from Stockholm were stopped because the lines giving them power were going down. :eek9:

Today, dawned clear and pretty. I'd planned to ride near a place where Jens likes to fish. 50 or so miles plotted out so he'd have plenty of time to try to convince sea trout to bite a bit of feather and fur with a hook hidden in it.

Nope. As we left Uppsala, the SUN was gone. :sad9: 10 miles outside of town, the first spits of rain. By the time we got to the island where I was going to start, it was a steady rain and the temp had gone from 56 or so to 36.

I tried, I really did. I just couldn't handle the cold face, rain splattered glasses and frozen legs. After a near tangle between a bus and a light-goods vehicle going in opposite directions,:eek9: I made it to the place Jens had parked the car for his fishing. Fortunately, he had also dressed for 56 F so was too cold to fish. We packed everything up for the 1 hour 45 min drive home. I rode just 2.3 miles.

At least it was far enough for me to tell the new wheel works just fine. :yes9:

Loke, however, was disappointed by yet another short ride. Even the River Loop is over 3 miles. Poor puppy.

His paw seemed fine though! No limping and he's not been licking it at all.
