Nice area. We will have to go riding sometime. When I was house hunting 10 years ago I looked on Mcgammon for property but could not touch it. Now I really would not be able to afford it. Use to be even more rural than it is now.
I have a friend that lives on Tipton station in that area too.

My road is beautiful too but it does not hold a candle to the area of Stock Creek, Mcgammon, That part of martin mill around the park.

Traffic is still at a fairly pleasent amount around there too.

Reading most of the ride reports I feel like a 'slacker' for taking it easy and enjoying the moment. LOL Not really, I've spent 69 years going fast and long and enjoyed every moment but the roses next to me smell pretty nice. Riding with Paul & Alvin leaves little room for dull moments. An old motorcycle accident has slowed Alvin, so our recent Pigeon Forge ride provided ample time to reflect on values. Hope you enjoy this 2-part day/night ride.

I tried out a different camera mount, so it's amateur use has some room for improvement. Basically, a hand-held stick attached to the camera base; I'm loving trike flexibility and comfort!

    This weather is sweeeeeet!
    82F.

23 miles today, at my Spring average speed of 16mph.

NO other bicycles shared the road while I was out:
this is unusual, as I live on a very popular club bike route.

One of the dogs that lives on my regular route, that usually chases me, chased me today.
His owner was outside doing stuff to his pickup truck...
so I stopped the bike and bellowed epithets at the top of my lungs.
    -I entertained myself;
-kept the cowardly dog at bay and
-probably entertained the dogs' owner, who steadfastly ignored the whole incident.

*Geeze, that Ward guy is fast!

*Terri, I read the account of your impromptu dog sledding adventure aloud
to my girlfriend and we shared a laugh.

Steve, contrary to what Lance said...Its all about the bike! Most of my long rides on the trike average out around 14.5 to 15. The Dragon is just so aerodynamic and with super smooth bearings in the wheels rolls for ever. Also it only weighs 20 LBS which doesn't hurt on the climbs. I'm pretty impressed with the speeds you are maintaining on that Softride.

Had a very big lunch, lots of pasta, yesterday... followed up by
a nice, rich, imported cream porter (beer).
It took forever to settle... meanwhile, the weather outside was amazing.

    87 degrees F.

    Calm breezes.

    Sunny blue sky.

Bicyclists cruising by the front porch.

Lawn mowers... jasmine in the air... and me, pig that I am, too stuffed
    to go riding!

Then, at 6pm, four fast bicycles wafted by.
Just as I was wheeling my bike out of the garage... and the mini-peleton
was heading in the direction I'd planned on going.

    Ahhh... a good workout!
I caught them at five miles (they actually stopped at a stop sign)... and, having let them go, caught them again, three miles later (on-the-fly).

The evening workout worked out to a 10-mile sprint at an average speed
    of 17.5mph.

    It was a great day.

Weather kinda cool today and a mild threat of rain prompted a slow ride in Pigeon Forge, TN. Paul's video pretty much covers the street ride, this video was shot within Patriot Park while I was waiting on Paul's arrival. I managed 10 miles of comfortable touring before I had to leave for other duties. Enjoy
