MagPed Magnetic Pedals

    Yes, thats the one. Not sure I will even be able to ride her yet. I'm told to expect a bit of a learning curve.

    First ride on the Zockra, tried the MagPed pedals. I went with my gravel shoes which have a simple flat metal plate to connect with the magnet.

    It was great to just throw my feet up and have the magnet snatch the shoe. With the flat plate it was easy to detach. Actually a bit too easy as I did pull a foot off accidentally a few times. Tomorrow evening I will give the road shoes a try with the cleats shown in the picture above.

    Well you are UP there pretty high on the Zockra (vs. being on a low trike), so you would have to have some pretty l-o-n-g legs to touch the ground by accident! :twitcy:

    So I rode the Zockra last night 38 miles. Road pedaks 50lbs magnets and the road shoes. Hard ride, put up some good times. ZERO issues unclipping! It worked the best when my legs were bebt 45 degrees, then a simple twist and I was out.
