Oooohh... I have seen it yet, but I'll bet his little trike really is cute. And Buddy is so adorable. Yes, he is. Bet they make a cute couple... <snicker>

As I recall, Keila, you're the one who started this "kewt" thing about my Burley trailer. Can we now transfer the copyrighted "kewt" term to apply to Buddy and his trike?

We're here, just not accounted for right now. :rolleyes9: We ride some around the farm here, but haven't had the time or energy to make it back to organized rides yet.

Myself, I'm busy as a bee at the plant with our upcoming ReFueling Outage (and serious lack of manpower), and looking forward to retirement more each day! Meanwhile, Jo's been occupied showering her new grandson with love, attention and oh yes...toys! ha, ha :tongue9:

Sharon moved up towards where Buddy & Dave are at now, but I haven't heard from her since Feb or so of this year so not sure if she's riding any or not.

Well, if Sharon is up this way, she should say something. That could spark some life in this dead-headed bunch. I've never seen such a one way outfit.

Sunday's River Road ride could have been ridden by anybody that can ride
a bicycle. We did that little thing in less than two hours and didn't break
a sweat. I rode an itty-bitty cute 16" wheels all the way around trike. Of
course, I couldn't keep up with Keila, but never could.

From right here on, I'm riding my ride. If any one slows down for me, I'm
very sorry. I've earned the right to be myself and ride my ride. I like
being 70, and I'm going to play it for all it's worth. I feel sorry for all
you young folks that can't get your head on straight. Oh, BTW, I really
    like everyone of you.

Hey Buddy, SOMETHING! Gotcha!!! I guess I am closer to you than I was when I lived in Maryville. I bought a place in Dandridge. I am just off exit 412 on I40. Nice and quiet on the side of the mountain, but sure not many bike paths around here. If we are going to start having more organized rides I will have to get the ole WizWheelz tuned up and road worthy again. Sunday mornings do not work for me because of church.

Sharon, sure good to see you are still around these parts. I was
    afraid you were gone forever.

Now this is what we need to do. Go over to the Tusculum trail. It is
a short distance from where I-81 meets I-40. Take I-81 to the 23 Exit.
Go to and through Greeneville. Turn right on the Erwin Highway. Then
turn left at the metal walk over bridge and a trailhead is on the right.

Now if that parking lot is full, there is another bigger parking lot on
over the hill on the right. This is a good triking/biking path and it is
on a designated biking road. So, one can bike as far and fast as desired.
It is a no congested area with miles and miles of bike approved roads.

I've been keeping it a secret because I was concerned Dave would
bring all his biking girl friends over here and get it all citified. This is
the most beautiful place in the world accessible by bike.

Bring all your triking girlfriends. We've got enough boys (Me). You name
    the time. I'm available 24/7. But I don't stand in line and I don't take a
number. Oops, that didn't sound right. This is a perfect place for trikes, trust me. There is only one 15%
    grade. Just a few 5, 6 and 7's.

This would make a good 4th of July ride with the colors. We could do
all week or just every day. I'm out there every day.

Yeah, good to hear from you again, Sharon! We have occasionally ridden the southern Jefferson County roads as a group. That'd be a short drive for you, especially if we met you in the New Market or south of Jefferson City area. Give us a contact point so we can get in touch next time.

Buddy, I appreciate the comments, but I wasn't trying to "speed" away on anyone except to avoid that big telephone truck... I don't mind stopping to wait either, it gives me an chance to just rest a bit. It was a good ride indeed. You yourself did very well if I do say.

Sharon, it is very good to hear from you again. I thought for a moment that you had simply vanished...nice to know that you are alive and well and still riding.

Glad that you are riding well, Keila. Maybe the other ladies will start riding
more. Sharon needs to tune the blue Wizwheelz up and put it on the road.

I'll be back to the River Road. I'd like to get there once a month. I just
like that area and have fond memories of my first recumbent ride with
AD, Jo, you and Bill and Jon and Don. That was a fine day for me, and
we have had many others. The day you led the ride out of the mountains
in a blinding down pour and Lightning and unbelievable thunder. Hey, I've
not forgot the wonderful picnic that day. That's right folks, riding
recumbent bikes through a thunderstorm, and we survived, but wouldn't
    want to do it again.

    Buddy, Jo et al,
I'm finally back in the saddle...or, "in the saddle". Where is everyone? I see AD posting and I've spoken to Jon, but it's just not quite the same buzz as there was when I first found the group. Holla' back at a fella.

Well, you haven't been on much yourself ...it is summer...folks got lots of things to do and vacations to take. We're leaving tomorrow for vacation so we won't be at the river road etc. But we will be back. It is good to hear from you. You need to come on down and ride with us...the more the merrier...:D

Buddy, i rememer that day in the rain...that was neat, but i don't want to do it again either. I am not sure my tires will hold the road again at those speeds. hahahaha

Can't make every ride on the River Road. What I'm thinking is
maybe I can make the first Sunday of each month or when there
is a special going on. Nice place and fine people. Or is it fine place
    and nice people.
