    No hand shaking

Saturday I rode 27.79 miles after riding 55 miles on Friday and my legs were tired. It was a nice ride with temps on the mid 60’s but my thighs ached climbing the few times I had to. Followed a guy on an Orbea for about five miles and watched him shake his hands numerous times. Do not miss that at all.

Good to see others getting out!

Now it's all nice and sunny and warmed up. If I'd just waited for a couple hours longer... :tongue9:

Gorgeous day! Utterly cloudless, not even jet trails to flaw the blue. Wind isn't too bad and 50 F which is nice, but hard for me to dress for. Too warm for double layers and nippy in shade with wind gusts.

Just a short 3 and a half miles though. Loke's a bit itchy today and I don't like leaving him at home by himself with the cone. He didn't seem interested in running. So, rather than drag around too far at barely 6 mph, I brought him home.

Still felt nice to get out in such pretty weather.

Sad news. Went to pick up my new Corsa and the seat didn't fit and my legs hit the fixed handlebar set up. (A common problem for me.). So Mark is going to work on the bent and I will pick it up in two weeks.

Saw Dave's new ride while I was there. It was gorgeous!!!

Good news is AD is going to meet me tomorrow to ride. if anyone else wants to join us let me know. The more the merrier!!!

Mark didn't say anything about the interference problem, only that you had been at the shop before I got there around 3pm. Sorry. I'm sure you were looking forward to your new ride as much as I.

I have exactly 1/4 mile on the new 700 in a parking lot near the shop while Mark tweaked it. A totally different experience from anything else I've cycled.

Mark saved me a bundle by supplying a $55 adapter that fit my 2-wheel Xport rack, converting it to a 2- or 3-wheel rack.

Looks like your hitch was made for trikes. Nice setup and cheap. (Always a high priority of mine!)

just starting to go on longer rides

My wife and I rode from Old Sacramento to Folsom Dam. It was our longest ride so far. 68 miles round trip. What a blast coming back down at 37 MPH.

    Today , after a rest day, Rode 27.76 km'h [ 17.25 mph ] ...

I should note that these tests are done on a cycleway doing 5 km [ 3.1 mile ]
laps . Without the big flag on my Trike. [ I am keen to do a test to see how much it slows me down ] :wink9: and because I do laps back and forth - the effect of wind direction is removed. Also I ride for exactly one hour and check how far I got. This particular section of cycleway is the flatest portion near my home. Only has 3 hills that slow me down to 13 km/h [ 8 mph ] .

So this test was a slight improvement from previous.

First ride since getting the first bottom wisdom tooth pulled. Been a rough recovery, not at all like the top teeth. Even with pain meds, every time I got my heart rate up it felt like my head was going to explode. Needless to say, I stayed off the trike.

Found out the socket was dry on Thursday. The dentist put in a 'patch'. Finally felt well (and brave) enough to try a ride. 3.4 miles. Loke limped arthritically most of the way, hence the short distance. Still nice to get out.

Well, still eating pain meds like candy, but it was such a pretty day, I dragged myself out for a ride. It was even the longest of the year at just a tad under 10 miles. Went without Loke since he was limping so badly before.

Was nice to get out even if I had to go very leisurely to keep the headache manageable. Sunshine, no wind. Pedaled down along the river through Uppsala.

Hope you feel better soon, I remember when I had my wisdom teeth out - not a pleasant experience, especially when an infection sets in afterwards. Looking on the bright side, it does pass and it will soon be summer.
