    Hi A.D.,

I was not complaining, I know where they come from and way. I'm on another forum (not bike related) that has the same thing going on.

I find it interesting how the links for the same terms sometimes link to completely different sites:jiggy9:.

Tom, you can checkout several user reviews of the Rover Trike on Amazon by clicking here.

While I don't own one, I've not heard anything bad about them. To the contrary, I've usually heard folks claim that it's a lot of trike for the dollars spent.

Everybody picking up these half pennies and nickels and dimes on the page views and impressions I think.

Nothing wrong with that in itself but what usually happens is the owners often get greedy and start endorsing products that pay the best.

Some of them pay dollars and fifteen dollars and fifty and a hundred a pop.

In the process they often become biased.

    The nature of the game.

    It's a tough game.

Too hard for me to play.

I prefer to make my money other ways.

I buy and sell quite a bit.

Yard and rummage sales and then eBay and Craigslist.

I have a Semi too that I haul potatoes and wheat and lumber with sometimes.

The two of them and my hourly truck driving work have built me a pretty good kitty to work with and also a nice two acre piece of land on a lake and a trailer house to live in.

This thing I'm doing here is for my health and recreation and spiritual purposes.

    I love it!

I have went from half crippled to mobil.

Out in the air and sunshine and socializing again.

    Thanks

I bought a Moped yesterday at a garage sale.

A Yamaha Zuma 50 with 627 miles on it for $700 cash.

37 Miles per hour and 100 miles to the gallon or close to it and no drivers license endorsement needed.

It is titled and has license plates and has to have liability insurance.

It completes my circle of transportation along with my soon to be electric Tadpole.

No insurance required for the tadpole.

I have a semi truck, a Ford Van, a Z71 GMC 4X4 pickup truck and a Jeep 4X4 station wagon and several Ford Festivas that get 40 MPG.

I was sleeping in a tent on my aunts land and with nothing not that many years ago so it feels pretty good to be fully functioning and in the swing of things in this modern world now.

The having nothing world is not that bad either.

    I enjoy both.

Your more outdoors and scratching for your survival when you have nothing.

Kind of like camping with no money or anything else except the shirt on your back.

Anyway something like that Cattrike with hub electric looks like the ticket for me.

I can get a pretty good 2004 Windcheetah for $2,000 and a thousand plus mile drive to get it.

The pusher electric is nice for touring but not versatile enough for me to meander around parks and flea markets and stuff.

That Cattrike Tadpole is like a wheelchair.

    Take it anywhere.

Thick crowds and it would be a little big and going into stores but everything else other than that.

    I think even Interstates Highways.

    "California here I come".

    Ho ho.

    :goodpoint:

Back when we ordered our RANS Screamer, I looked at it in the same way. It wasn't an expensive bicycle to us, instead it was a means to get out and exercise w/o the boredom often associated with such. :cool9:

    Absolutely.

    Manna for the soul.

    Body and soul.

    Thanks

In the same breath, it pays us and puts money in our pocket at the same time.

    Instead of costing us money.

    How you gonna beat that.

I got my little 2000 Yamaha Zuma ll 50 Moped going yesterday.

    It's an interesting little bird.

$36 a year for liability insurance.

    $6.50 for tabs.

    $65 to transfer the title.

I paid $700 for it with only 650 miles on it.

I want both it and my recumbent electric trike to cover about everything.

I can zoom all over town with the moped with it's headlight and tail and turn signals and brake light and mirrors.

I think the trike might be able to do that technically.

    It's interesting.

No insurance or tabs or anything required for the trike either.

I'm not sure about what roads can be traveled with each yet.

The moped doesn't require a motorcycle endorsement on my drivers license either.

The moped is a jump in and go for errands and whatnot.

Fast and easy but no good at all for flea markets and parks and beaches except to park it and walk around and whatnot.

My tadpole experience with the Cattrike is that it's like a really versatile wheelchair, in that it maneuvers about so nicely.

Much better than a wheel chair really.

The wheel chair can go into buildings and in crowds.

It can't go down the highway and down the trail on the other hand.

The cooler weather and winter coming has me thinking.

Both the moped and the trike.

I ran onto the moped quite by accident while garage sale shopping on Saturday.

    I nailed it.

    Something just said do it.

I can buy about anything as long as I "buy right" pricewise and quality wise.

Then resell it for a profit if it turns out to be a "seller" rather than a "keeper".

That's a nice little tool to have.

This "used" market out there is just overloaded with about everything.

    I love it.

    I buy very little new.

This whole outdoors world now with lots less limitations having the moped and soon to be tadpole is pure health and enjoyment for me.

I want electric on my tadpole for versatility and speed when I need it.

I'll get plenty of exercise helping it along.

"Horse power", I see they are calling it.

Mine being "68" horsepower, soon to be 69.

Getting younger every day as a result of this discovery.

    Thanks

Read some of Buddy Bishop's posts, as he's had gas engines on two of his recumbents and mentioned trying electrics sometime ago.

Keep in mind, while Lithium Ion batteries are powerful, they're also :money: when it comes time to replace them. :eek9:

This has nothing to do with recumbents, but I just have to chime in about the batteries.

My wife and I were on a week long bike ride this summer about 800 miles from home. The day (a Saturday) to head home when we started my wife's hybrid every warning light on the left side of the dashboard came on. We were able to find a dealer with Sat service hours. The short story is the Lithium Ion battery was failing 5229.jpg . Good thing that it was still under warranty 5230.jpg other wise beside the 3 extra days we had to stay it would have been an $6,000 repair.

My point here is that the Lithium Ion batteries as said before are NOT cheap.

Wow! I didn't realize that kind of money.

    The $600 makes sense.

    High as it is.

    I think you mistyped $6,000.

Gas takes us to another level.

    Restrictions!

    Battery powered is not restricted.
