This must be the most bashful group of riders I know of. :laugh9: As of today we have 62 riders in Tennessee, and what...only 5 of us have spoken up here?! ha, ha, Oh well at least we know who the :yak: loudmouths :yak: are eh? :jiggy9:

Well, that first message was garbled, with all that flashing, bouncing, big letters and small letters. Thought you were running a computer check. Now
what do you want us to do? Are we going to ride, or just set around and peck on the key board?

ha, ha, Well that could be one outcome of this particular thread. My intent was to see who these 62 people were in Tennessee, and then perhaps pick a day to meet up and ride somewhere in the midst of them. Or if most of us are pretty well spread out, perhaps have a couple of rides in different areas maybe. But, I still figure the first step to doing so is getting folks to at least chime-in and say HI here and hopefully converse some with one another.

I suggest you send them all a personal e-mail and tell them about your first message here. Tell them what you would like for them to do. Try it, it may work.

Well, I'd be more than happy to attend regular rides in my area. I'm even working my way up to thinking about participating the Trace ride coming up next weekend. At first it looked like I was going to have something going on that weekend, but I was going to try to get there and say hi, however, at this point, it looks like I might actually be able to make the ride. Now, whether or not I can actually go for 22 miles, that's another thing altogether, but we'll see.

Well most folks choose not to receive emails when they first signup and go thru their preferences settings. As such, there's no easy way for me to do such. It's not impossible, but it's not an easy to do thing either. Still, good idea and I may try something like that when I get a chance.

That's the beauty of an out & back ride, when/if you get tired stop and rest and turn around. We'll all meet up back at the cars anyway, sooner or later.

And just FYI, the single biggest Challenge to your daily mileage limit is IN your mind. You'd really be surprised how much further you can ride than what your mind thinks you are able to. That's not just talk, that's a voice of experience talking here. When I went on the FL tour a few years ago, we were logging 50-70 miles/day and I'd never ridden over 30 miles at a time before that. :smile9: And other than being hungry and tired at the end of the day, my body didn't really notice the extra mileage.
