Alright folks, I have put it off long enough. It is time to sell my V2. She is a 2001 beauty and has treated me well but alas my eye has been turned by a flashy new V3 that I am just about to finish building. That and the two trikes and a mid racer project are really eating up my budget so the V2 has to go.

She has been well taken care of and has a nice set of equipment. Front and rear a RhinoLite wheels covered with Primo Comet Kevlars (these should be replaced this year) Both wheel bearings have been replaced this spring. The drive train is SRAM twist shifters and a Deore rear derailleur, a Shimano 105 crankset, (52-42-30) shifted with a Shimano 105 front derailleur. The BB is less than a year old. Crank arms are 170mm. Shifting is smooth and clean.

For your bottom you may choose either the RANS recurve seat with a custom cover over the bottom or the Euromesh I currently have on it. Both seats are fixed with a Rad-Loc system and have bags along for the ride. The Rans seat has a Rans big bag that is yellow and a bit worn and the Euromesh comes with an almost new brainbox bag. Both seats will come with bottle carriers attached. The Rans seat will come with a new black cover, a new stars and stripes cover and a peace and love cover. I have made these covers to replace the worn original and they look and wear very well. I have a worn stars and strips cover on her now that she will come with also. I have a “poor man’s” cadence meter (converted speedo) on that will ship with her.

I would of course love a local sale but I do have a Rans box that I will pack her into if you really want her shipped. I am asking 675$. The shipping charges will be your responsibility plus probably 15-20$ in packing. She will have to be broken down quite a bit to fit. If you are not handy you should consider a local shop for reassembly. I will get some pics up this week but you can see the seat covers at my web site, www.recumbentbikestrikes.com They are under the bike project tab.

    to ship or not.

Sorry but I forgot to add this to the description. On or about 14 July I will be traveling to Central Illinois. The route will take me either through Knoxville, and north to Indiana and across to Ill. The alternate would be up I 77 through VA, WV, and then across Ohio, Indiana and to Illinois. If you are willing to wait we could link up along the route and finish the deal to save some shipping $$.

Having ridden with Jerry at SMRR, I can say that this is a nice bike. Anyone interested in a LWB should buy this, it's a bargain at that price!

I agree. I passed Jerry while he was stopped at a light. I was behind the group and when the light turned to green I hauled it. Jerry from a complete stop came right behind me (along with a trike). He was on this bike so I can tell you, IT IS FAST!!!!

As someone who rides a V2, they are quick, even for someone with a low power enigne like me, they are comfortable, and in spite of them being LWB, they are manueravable. I've ridden mine along some trails and it did just fine.

Jerry's V2 looks really nice and has some very good accessories, the seat back bag on the recurve seat is a nice touch. The standard Rans seat is also very comfortable (what I use). I paid close to $900 for mine, and when I sell it I plan to ask the same as what I paid for it. So Jerry's price is extremely good.

    gone but not forgotten

Thanks for all the great comments. She is indeed gone and passed along to a member of this group. I hope to negotiate visitation rights.

First buyer had to back out because of the huge shipping expense involved. 200-250$ USD to Kansas. That is crazy! I had it all packed in a Rans box and it was still a ton to ship so she will be hand delivered to TN.

Truly a shipping ripoff! My Corsa only cost $100 to ship LBS in Mi to TN & it was in two boxes.

Good eye Buddy, it is in fact the junction. I had a really good ride there last month. I posted it on www.recumbentbikestrikes.com and on here too, I think. Hopefully I will join you on one of your rides there in the future.
