The next Street Skills for Bicyclists class will be Saturday, Sept 29. Want to learn how to ride your bike safely and confidently in traffic? This class combines classroom learning with on-bike exercises and a practice ride in traffic. This class is taught by certified League of American Bicyclists instructors. The $30 fee includes The League Guide to Safe and Enjoyable Cycling. Go to www.knoxtrans.org for a registration form and more info.

I highly recommend a class like this to anyone who is remotely interested in riding in traffic or to those scared to death by traffic. The information and skills learned will benefit you for a long time to come and just may save your life someday.

I have completed the League's basic and advanced road cycling courses. I think they are called Road 1 and Road 2 now. When I took them they were combined into a single class that spanned a number of weekends.
