    RR,
I know this isn't a new topic but Mike & I were out on River Road Sunday morning. Weather was perfect for a ride. Scenery was perfect. We had drivers honking and three barely giving us 3 inches of room when they passed. This was a record of rudeness. We are clearly visible so it isn't like we took them by surprise. I may start taking a camera and getting a picture of their license plates. It is a road for locals, so by now you would think they would be used to bike riders, and have learned to share the road.
Mike & I have conflicts on some of the RR rides coming up. We hope next year we will be able to make more of the rides. Mike is on his last rotation in his nutrition internship. By next summer he will be done with graduate school. I hope our riding picks back up.

Thanxx for the heads-up. Makes me want a rear-view sign reading:

    Smile, you're following a Bount County Sherrif-CAMERA

But yes, a camera in hand doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.

Well if we need to, we can call the Blount County Sheriff's office. I know a few of them over there and my brother in law knows the sheriff personally. So if it gets bad we can and I will call them.

Meantime, a camera is going to be the best evidence we can get and I would love nothing better than to make an expample of one of those idiots. Al and I were chastised by one of the locals who was no doubt heading to church one Sunday evening. Now if that isn't Godly love I don't know what is.:sad9: Told us to go ride the Greenway as that is what it was made for!:mad9: And bless his heart, that was one of Al's first group rides with us on River Road.

Sorry you and Mike had to endure that Laurie, hopefully we can get that stopped.

    Greetings all,

Here's an idea for curing road rage. I made up a little real license tag for my trike with a "rolling biohazard" warning on it. I simply dressed up a biohazard logo (one of the most frightening graphics that I've ever seen...it gets the message across) by adding two symbolic wheels. :s5:

Yes, I know...I ride a trike, but you get the idea. Here's the logo. Message me if any of you might be interested in something similar for your ride!
