    Hi! I'm new to the site but not new to biking. A recent bike accident forced a hip replacement. Consequently, I can no longer ride a conventional bike or two wheel recumbent, (for fear of falling). I CAN, however, ride a recumbent trike.

    Word has it that an entry level Terra Trike should do the trick. Does anyone have one for sale at a reasonable price? I know the 3 speed Rover starts at $899.00 plus shipping to New York. I am therefore looking to purchase a bike for less than the price of a new one.

    Welcome to the forum Matt.

    As for the hip replacement, I've rode the bike after hip replacement and have no problem. Then this past winter I had the second hip replacement. I still ride the bike but do notice a definite weakness, that is, weaker than before.

    You might go over to Bent Rider Online and check their classified. I'll also check our state listing and let you know if I find one.
