Keila and I saw a Ryan Duplex a couple weeks ago and I didn't stop then.

while out yesterday in Townsend, we saw the same bike and couple so we stopped and flagged them down.

Dwight and Julie Elliott from Ohio have moved to Alcoa area. Turns out they have a Duplex AND a Gulfstream that they were on when we stopped them.

AD and Jo, we ought to get all our tandems together and go riding!!!

Well, I told them about the site and the ROCKET so hopefully we will see them in a group ride whenever we get one going.

Haven't noticed them on here yet, but was wondering if you'd mentioned the Knoxville Tour de Lights to them when you-all spoke briefly??

Thanks for the introduction on this forum. It was a pleasure to meet you, Bill.

We don't ride as often as we'd like. We're still learning all the good places to ride locally. Been here since June and only discovered Coulter Bridge a month ago. We're looking forward to meeting other riders. Count us in with the slow group if you have one. Fast we ain't. Each year we try to get in at least a week of touring.

We ride a 2008 Longbike Gulfstream, successor of the Ryan Duplex. We also have a 1997(?) Longbike Duplex. It was built after Ryan was sold to Longbike but before the model name was changed to Gulfstream. It originally had conventional steering but was converted to USS. We want to sell it but with the move and all just haven't gotten it done yet.

PS We're looking forward to the Tour De Lights too.

    Dwight,

Welcome to the forum. Though I no longer live in the Knoxville area I miss the riding. There are more interesting places to ride within a couple of hours of Knoxville than you can shake a stick at.

    Explore and enjoy.

ha, ha Well I guess that answers my question from above! :jiggy9:

When you get a chance, mosey on over to Tour de Lights of Knoxville event and R.S.V.P.

We're trying to get a general count of how many recumbent riders may show up.

    And by-the-way, :welcome3:
