When we made a recent trip to our local Health Food Store to pick up some more STOPS LEG & FOOT CRAMPS, I happened to notice a bottle of this STOPS ACID REFLUX sitting nearby on the shelf.

Strange, in that it looked identical to the other product, except for the product name. :confused9: I picked up both products and began comparing the ingredient listings to see what the difference were. Most astounding, I found out there were no differences. Line by line, word for word, the two products share the exact same ingredients, in the exact same order. The only difference is 'what' you take the product for.

I called Jo over and showed her what I had discovered, since she also has problems with indigestion and/or acid reflux at times. Of course, the next question out of my mouth was: "Well, when you've taken the leg cramp formula for cramps, have you ever noticed it helping your indigestion?" She didn't know. She'd never noticed such before, but most often she would awake with leg cramps at night after she'd drifted off to sleep without any indigestion/reflux problems.

So, we decided she would try the STOPS LEG & FOOT CRAMPS product the next time she had indigestion at home.

GUESS WHAT? It worked perfectly for her indigestion! :jiggy9:

So just know if you have either of these problems (i.e. Cramps -or- Indigestion/Acid Reflux), either product seems to work to cure it!

'Bout 3 years ago (I think) I had an awful problem with acid reflux. It seemed to hit on almost every ride, all season. Then it went away. I wonder if it was some kind of bug. Anyway, if it got bad enough I might even consider swilling vinegar/ginger/garlic juice. Maybe that stuff kills all the 'bad' gut bacteria?

One cause of acid reflux is a weak esophageal sphincter (muscle at the bottom of the esophagus and top of stomach).

When this muscle is weak it doesn't close the opening at the top of the stomach off completely and stomach contents can come back up into the esophagus.

Caffeine weakens this muscle. So if you have problems with acid reflux, lay-off the caffeine and see if it helps.

You are correct, but sometimes eating/drinking right does not help. I suffered with this condition for many years. I finally had surgery 3 years ago where they flipped my stomach over and it keeps the valve closed called fundoplcation but t was no fun http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissen_fundoplication. It worked wonders and have not suffered heart burn since. Heart burn can be a VERY serious condition. I have been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus. This occurs when the esophagus gets burned by stomach acid so much that the stomach cells start growing in place of the espohagus. Which greatly increases the chances of cancer. Do no take heart burn lightly. If you suffer from it a lot at night , get it checked out because something so simple can be deadly

To help with heart burn. watch what you eat, drink and most importantly watch your weight.

Nope, either one is $9.95 at our local health food store, but remember a bottle lasts a l-o-n-g time since you need so very little of it.(i.e. about a teaspoon - tablespoon) Jo's had one bottle just over a year now and it's probably still about a third full.
