Back in 2008 or so, Greenspeed was selling a trike that had a cargo rack on the back that was part of the frame, not a part added onto the trike, but part of the welded frame.

What is the name of that Greenspeed trike? Got pictures?

The new Greenspeed owners don't know anything about that.

:mmm: Do you mean something like this luggage rack?

Or perhaps a rack similar to this one, on the red trike...

Those images are of a separate accessory, a rear cargo rack bolted to the frame in two places. BUT, in 2008,I remember seeing a Greenspeed trike, with a similar rack as an integrated part of the frame, the frame was one piece and the rack was
    part of it.

If my T-Cycle Cargo Monster can carry 200 pounds as a bolted on accessory, how much better would be a rack built into the frame, designed by the manufacturer?

This is my Vision R-40 with a T-Cycle Cargo Monster on the back. I love the rack. It is rated to carry 200 pounds of cargo and is designed to carry two sets of full sized panniers. BUT, my recumbent TWO wheel bicycle falls over easily. Me and my elbows are ready for a a THREE wheel trike.

 That is one impressive load of stuff you have there. Dare I say, I’ve not seen any more on a bike. :surprised: First thing I had to do was scroll back up and see what State you’re in :mmm:, ah Kansas! I know I couldn’t pedal up some of the hills around here (ie in TN), and I’d probably be scared going down some of them too! :nailbiter:

The Vision R-40 recumbent with the T-Cycle Cargo Monster, with all that stuff weighed 175 pounds. The Specialized Rockhopper with a xtracycle Free Radical weighed 215 pounds. 20110510BIkeincarnationfancyFuschiabumpers.jpg 20101114 Austin.jpg

On the Recumbent, I rode from Chicago Illinois to several cities in Arizona. On the upright bike, I rode all over the USA, 15,000 miles in 2 years at age 50. But, I avoided steep hills after going through Valley of the Gods in Utah. What goes downhill must go uphill.

The GTE was a rare breed indeed, very few pics available online. Somebody had one for sale on eBay over in the U.K. some time ago...
