It sure would be nice if they could offer the same course in Chattanooga.

    Larry,

Check with the League of American Bicyclists. They are the ones who certify the instructers and maintain a list of certified instructors. You coud then check with any instructors in the Chatanooga area to see if they are offering any classes.

I took their Road skills class back when it was taught as one class spread out over a couple of months. Now it is taught in 2 courses: Road 1 and Road 2.

Some of the bike handling skill drills would need to be modified for a 'bent but it wouldn't be hard. However, an instructor who has never ridden a 'bent would probably be at a loss. Especially for trike riders. Although, about the only drills I can think of off the top of my head that would need modification are checking behind (no brainer here, 'bent riders need mirrors), and panic stopping.

    Larry,

Check with Chattanooga Bicycle Club, they're pretty much the nerve center for cycling in the Chattanooga area. I'd bet someone is doing the LAB courses there. BTW, I get good feedback on those courses, but they're time-intensive, and may start at too basic a level for cyclists with a moderate level of experience. LAB is a good organization though and provides a good service. They were training the trainers here in Knox a few months ago.
