2011 Volae Club recumbent. Purchased new in 2012 from the Hostel Shoppe in Stevens Point, WI. Excellent condition. I really like this bike and there is not a thing wrong with it; I just have never been able to fully acclimate to recumbent riding.

The bike is beautifully designed and built. The steel frame is built by Waterford Precision Cycles in Waterford, WI, known for their superior craftsmanship. Solid, quality components throughout. SRAM X9 shifters and rear derailleur. Avid brakes. Truvative Elita triple front crank. Carbon seat, carbon fork. 650c Vuelta Corsa wheels front and back, currently with 28mm tires (23mm came stock on the bike and will be included with the sale, but I like a little more cushioned ride so we put the 28s on last year).

The bike is a size Small, but I am a 5' 7" female (not short by any means) and it fits me perfectly, plus there is lots of room for adjustment either way. I unfortunately purchased an inexpensive computer for it when I purchased the bike, which sadly stopped working after the first 350 miles. I never put another one on the bike, but estimate the total mileage I've put on it since I purchased it new to be 900-1,000 miles. This bike rides beautifully -- very smooth and fast. Great for centuries, club rides, etc. It is also extremely comfortable -- no more wrist or neck pain issues. This is a road bike and most of the miles logged on it are road miles, but I have made a few trips on the KalHaven trail with the new 28s we put on last year and it does just great.

With very minimal wear and tear, and very low mileage, this bike is practically brand new. It was recently tuned up and is ready to ride. The list price brand new when purchased in 2012 was $1999; asking $1199. Will consider other serious, reasonable offers.

I can send pics upon request. Thanks for looking.
