Well, had a GREAT time as always over at the Fall Creek Falls Resort for the 2007 Popsicle Ride. This year it was warm enough though (mid 60's), that we didn't spot any popsicles. :laugh9: Anyway, the LODGE there has the best food around, but we supplemented our dining experience Saturday evening with Hot Dogs and Chili in Mike & Laurie's cabin.

Speaking of which, for everyone's information: The fisherman's cabins on the lake there have 4 double beds upstairis, and the couch on the bottom floor folds out into a full sleeper-sofa. That means you could have up to 5 couples in a cabin and split the price of such. Not a bad deal to keep in mind for the rest of the year.

Anyway once we all found this out, Jo & I cancelled our reservations at the Lodge and took the 2nd bedroom upstairs in Mike & Laurie's cabin. So we didn't have to go very far to see one another. :jiggy9:

Turned out to be a great weekend with perfect riding weather! So those that didn't care to brave the elements, avoided such for no reason this time. :rolleyes9:

Attached below is a picture of us in the 'Kilroy was here' mode :rofl9:, as well as one in front of the falls.

It was a great weekend as AD stated with one correction. Saturday's dinner was home made tacos, compliments of Mike and Laurie! Sunday's mid afternoon meal was hot dogs and chili.

And Mike made some of the absolute best guacamole you will ever eat!:biggrin9:

We had a wonderful ride yesterday and the views at the overlooks were gorgeous.

We missed all those that couldn't attend and for those who sat on the fence, you missed one great weekend of riding. We peddled up an appetite both days.

When we were leaving the park this a.m., AD and I saw 3 of the prettiest little white-tailed fawns running and jumping. It was a site to behold to see such beautiful creatures enjoying the morning.:yes9:

Hope next years Popsicle Ride brings more of you out. And as AD pointed out, when you share a cabin, the price is very affordable. There are also bigger cabins that sleep even more people and they all have fully stocked kitches, less food and dishwashers!:eek9:

Hope to see some of you soon on another ride.

Awright, Mizz Catrike Girl, I see that pretty PINK new trike in the picture, you probably thought you could just slip that by.... What a cool trike and it matches you perfectly, the way you love pink. Still got your pink helmet too? Or maybe a new one? Congratulations, when can I see the trike??

hahaha Don, you can see my trike on the very next ride! How's that?:laugh9:

And yes I still have my pink helmet as well as pink gloves and a new pink vest that matches the color of my trike almost perfectly! So when Laurie and I ride together, you'll need shades in order to look at our trikes.:cool9:

And this time around I got a CaTrike Speed and really like the way it handles going downhill! I was nervous about the steering to begin with but after Laurie told me to push instead of pull when I go around curves, it became very easy to steer. It's the same prinicple as riding my motorcycle and I can't thank Laurie enough for giving me that hint.

Hope to see you soon. Try to stay warm. :eek9:

This is the kind of weather the Popsicle ride should be held in! But I wouldn't trade this past weekend's riding weather for mid January for all the cold weather.:jiggy9:
