Is there any one who knows a good place to get a recumbent bike near or around Battle Creek, Mi. I dont have a ton of money to pay. I have about 750 dollars to spend, which I know isnt a lot but I really want to get back into riding. I stopped riding an upright because I broke my wrist in three places, and the pressure on my wrist made riding unbarable.

    Thanks

I do most of my dealings thru my LBS, if he can't order it I look online.
There aren't many 'bent dealers where I'm at, north of Detroit.

Cathy, I live in Southfield, just northwest of Detroit. I know of a very friendly bike dealer in Roseville, just north of Detroit, who has an Sun EZ-1 recumbent , almost no miles on it, for sale for $500. These normally sell in the $700 range. I have one and I LOVE IT. It is a GOOD value. It might be worth while to call him or drive over this way. His name is Paul with Bike Depot, 586-776, 9165. (I purchased a Sun Sport CX as well as other items from him.) You can contact me if you wish at ddziegler44*yahoo.com

    Check out this site:
    www.breakawaybicycles.com

They are located in Kalamazoo and handle a small number of recumbents (Bacchettas I believe). Probably more than you want to spend, but worth a look.

    Hi eCathy,
If you're and interested in a trike, WizWheelz is in Kentwood near Grand Rapids. Their web site is www.wizwheelz.com. I currently ride the trike more than my LWB recumbent or my road bike. As far as a LBS in SE MI, I'm not sure I could recommend one since I tend to work on my recumbents myself.

    Hi, Cathy,
I responded earlier from Southfield about a dealer in Roseville, MI with a slightly used Sun EZ -1. I just noticed a used Sun EZ -3, which is the trike version of the Sun EZ series, for sale on Craiglist in Portage near Kalamzoo, for $450. Looks like it might be a good deal if you're at all interested in a trike. http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/bik/632192139.html

New member and first post. I ended up here because I was curious about joining the recumbent ranks, and looking for dealers in the area.

I also found that Zeeland Schwinn carries Sun recumbents.

Also, fwiw, wizwheelz is now TerraTrike(the link forwards), and wolverbents domain name is expired.

    See you all around.

    Hey Don, first :welcome6: aboard!

Second, apparently there may have been a .com at one time for wolverbents (but I don't see it referenced anywhere above :confused9:) that has expired.

Bob posted this on July 19, 2011 at 2:26pm via their Yahoo Group:
The Wolver-Bents web page is back up. Right now I don't have all the page links back up but this will be done shortly.

From what I can tell http://www.wolverbents.org/ is being re=directed over to http://wolverbents.intuitwebsites.com/Main.html for now. And http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wolverbents/ is another way to access them as well.

I just sold a canto fork to this shop a few days ago for one of his customers. I talked to DAN, and he seemed to be a pretty good person so you might want to give him a call.
