My Recovery

Sharon (luvseagles) is having brain surgery tomorrow so please keep her in your prayers.

She is hoping to be back home by Friday afternoon and back to riding in a couple of weeks.

As soon as I know something tomorrow on how things went I'll post.

Let her know she is in my prayers. I have always wanted to meet here and I have not yet. Tell her we need to fix that.

Sharon is one of my favorite riding buddies. She is just absolutely great
on the rides, and a lot of fun. Let's pray and give our prayers a boost
with faith. Give her my love.

Well, you've been needing to fix it for a long time. Get off your high horse and come our and ride with the riders (as not just talkers).

I just talked with Sharon's daughter. They had to postpone the surgery until this morning. She made it fine and is in NICU. They had her on the operating table yesterday and she was already asleep when the doctor had an emergency so they kept her asleep all day thinking the doctor could get to her. So she's had a good sleep before surgery and that probably helped things go well.

I'll talk to her duaghter again tomorrow (her daughter wasn't going back up until 7 tonight) to find out how Sharon made it today and tonight and I'll post when I know.

Thanks for all the prayers I know Sharon will be appreciative. She has had that aneurysm since I've known her and it was inoperable but with a new technique they were able to take care of it. Now she won't have that hanging over her when she rides.

Well it is good to know that she made it through ok, but to be asleep all day?!? That is wild.

 

To all my fellow RR's.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during my recent hospital adventure. For those of you who don't know, I was blessed with cerebral aneurysms. I had a right sided craniotomy back in 2000 to clip 2 that were weeping, then just last week had a third aneurysm coiled at Fort Sanders Regional. Doc said I had to wait a minimum of 2 weeks before I could start riding again, and that was not because of my head, but rather to protect my femoral artery from busting open.

I have talked to Jo about riding the Maryville Greenway again, and after a couple warm up rides, I would like to try a River Road group ride. Obviously it will not be a ride with the need for speed, but rather a comfortable relaxed pace, (more like we would do for a newbie ride), with lots of conversation and fellowship. I am looking to do this the first or second weekend in May if anyone is interested in joining me.

Yeah! Sharon...good to have you back on line again.

 

You betcha Buddy, you can ride with me anytime. Your positive attitude is the only thing that got me to the top of Cherohala Skyway!!!

How about we plan for Saturday, May 10, that way everyone can be at home or go where they need to for Mother's day that Sunday?

 

That will work for me Sharon. Don't push yourself now. Make sure you are ready to ride, ok?

May 10th might work for me too. I don't want to plan much for the end of May or first part of June because my little grandson is due around that time and I sure can't miss the birth of my very first grand son.
