Hello my friends, I have been looking into getting a flevo racer, they sure look nice, and challenging to ride. How do you guys feel about front wheel drive, and this flevo bikes?

There is youtube links on flevo racer and the person riding the bike makes it look so easy, and comfortable.

Your advise would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi! :welcome8:to our forum. While I have not seen a front wheel bike in person, I have heard that the are pretty neat and pretty interesting to ride. I think there are some folks on here that have seen and/or ridden some, so hopefully the will chime in to help.

    Hey Keila,

There were two of these at the last SMRR. One guy had a Cruz Soft rider.

Another guy had a FlevoBike. Took a picture of it but can't find it now.

I watched riders struggling with the Cruz bike test rides. I have enough problems riding my recumbent without going through another period of adjustment.

Out of curiosity, where would you purchase it from? I ask, because I cannot turn up a website that sells the FlevoRacer bicycles. :confused9:

Per this page, I found out that:
In the year 2000, Johan Vrielink made a major decision. In his eyes, the future for his company was to velomobiles like the Alleweder and the C-alleweder (now called 'Limit'.) He wanted to aim only at that target, and he decided to transfer the licenses, production, servicing and marketing of all other HPVs to several other companies. The former Flevobike company was renamed to "Flevobike technology".
The first product of Flevobike technology is the 'Versatile', a largely computer designed and produced Velomobile.

This way, the rights of the bike, trike and racer came to "Ligfietsshop Tempelman" (Tempelman recumbent bike shop). Harm Tempelman had since the beginning produced the seats and luggage boots of the Flevobikes, and later, he was the one to produce the C-alleweder in license for Flevobike.
He and his son Gerrit had started their shop in one of the buildings of the former Flevobike. They do all service, also for the bikes that have been bought from Flevobike in the past. Moreover, they have a post order service for self-builders and people who want to replace parts of their Flevos.

The strange thing is though, when you visit the Tempelman website there is NO mention made of the FlevoRacer than I can find. :eek9:

So I dug a little deeper and finally managed to find a single entry on the Alibaba Global Trading website, where just the FlevoRacer frameset is offered for sale.

So I'm just curious if I've overlooked something in my search efforts. :embarrassed9:
