I would like to buy a RANS Standard Mesh, or a RANS Sling Mesh seat for a bike I am building. Please send me an email, not a PM if you have one you can part with. Thanks,

Per AngleTech's Short Wheelbase page..."Rans Slingmesh seat option drops 1 pound of weight and enhances comfort."

And per the BicycleMan's RANS page..."The new Sling Mesh seat is a new option for the 2009 model year. The back of the seat is similar to the standard RANS offering but the seat base lacks a seat pan."

I could not turn up a comparison picture of the two :confused9:, but did turn up individual pics of the Slingmesh, Hoagie and Zephyr seats...

Seaweed02, you might also want to consider an EDGE seat.(See Edge Revolutionary Seat thread for a description.)

I would consider it, but I don't see how it could be installed on a RANS bike frame like the Velocity Formula 26 I am building. I have looked at the close up pictures of the seat mount, those pics are on the U-Man-Power website, and it is just totally different than the RANS set up. Has anyone adapted one to the RANS bikes?

Well I mentioned it because in talking with Serenity awhile back, she said it would fit several different recumbents. I have an old BikeE with the half-high seatback and was interested in getting something that was taller and she told me their new Edge seat would fit onto my BikeE.

Oh yeah...our seat will fit on the BikeE recumbents. I have a BikeE and I have an original small back seat. In deciding what to do with my bent I put one of our Edge seats on it and it fit just fine. Lots more adjustment that is for sure. We have a kit to allow our seats to be adapted to Volae recumbents and a Terra Trike. I have heard of other adapting them to fit on Rans, but have not seen one in person yet.
