I hope the rest of you are getting to ride! I think my season is over now. Woke to about 5 inches of chain freezing white stuff. Pretty to look on at least until I get my parts.

    :jiggy9: Oh I am soooo happy!!! :jiggy9:

Got to ride today. First time in a week. My spirits improve so much when I can get outside to ride.

Rode 15.8 miles in 58 minutes. Came out to a 16.3 MPH average which is great considering I wasn't pushing very hard.

One thing I did do was check my tire pressure. I had added air to them up 3 weeks ago and just "thumb" test them. They seemed fine.

Seem fine today but I put the gauge on them. They are supposed to run 120 pounds. They were 60 pounds. Filled them up and :woohoo: what a difference it made!!!

Note to self, check tire pressure weekly!!! I will go a lot faster with the same effort if I do. And I like going faster without working any harder!

Last Sunday my son and I renewed our membership in the GABA bike club and rode our first century of the year. My son rode his recently restored Kestrel and I rode my arm and leg powered LWB. We went 100.5 miles in 5:25 rolling time and 6:20 total time. It was a nice but sometimes windy day. Nice thing about riding in a circle is some of the wind helps you and some of it hurts you. We had a tailwind going up the long hill and it turned into a headwind as we went down the other side. Made for a fun, fast ride.

5 hour ride yesterday... in front of the TV.

For two days, the streets and paths, even grass surfaces, have been treacherous with melting ice. Last night, I heard rain every time I stirred awake to roll over so had images of Loke and I getting out for a river loop today.

Stepped out to return a movie and discovered it was rain/snow mix. Huge wet flakes that land with splats with a not-insignificant drizzle. There's over an inch of slushy, soggy white laid over well watered surfaces. :hissyfit9:

Oh well. Another few hours in front of the TV with the trike today I guess. :rolleyes9:

The rest of you who can, put in a few extra miles for me! :tongue9:

We've had nothing but rain and high winds all day yesterday, at least in my neck of the Woods. So today there is nothing but sunshine out right now...I'm on my way to the shop and when I get there I plan on doing a little bit of riding myself down the back street. We'll see...
