You will be welcomed with open arms. These people don't care what you ride

Bridge Burners is my favorite, 17 miles. We have also done it and
Harmon's Valley, 13 miles. Thirty miles in these hills, is a good
    work-out.

Got another ride in today, though much shorter than usual at just over 3.5 miles which is more for Loke's sake than mine. A 3+ mile run is better for him than a half mile walk. At 22 F, I really should have worn more than 2 layers, but I was too impatient to chase another down and roast while trying to pull it on.

Loke and I kept a very quick pace. I was trying to make it home before I turned into a lycra and wool wrapped block of ice. :eek9: What Loke's mission was, I have no clue. Generally when we run the same sections over and over, he gets bored and slows down. Not the last five runs or so.

No snow and the only ice I accumulated was on the fingers of my left glove. Now, I'm going to savor a nice big cup of orange hot chocolate. Mmmmmm. :yes9:

Then I'll be a good girl and put the trike on the trainer and pedal for a few episodes of some series or another for my exercise.

    Way to go Terii.

Wish you were here Terii, then I'd have you to ride with. I rode the
Wednesday route and had no one to ride with. Well over 40F and the
bunch of candy's complained. There are at least 20 of them and the
old man was solo. Oh well, I put them on notice for today's ride. If
it is alright with you, 'll send your message to them.

Well, I took a little ride today when I got to my shop.:rolleyes9: It is full sunshine outside, a bit chilly on the face, but I just had to do it. I couldn't have been more than ½ a mile...the brace on my leg SUCKS!:mad9: I can ride with it, but not like I want to. The part that prevents it from "locking" backward also limits my ankle flexing and that is a bummer. Regardless, it was good to ride...and to once again realize just out of shape my lungs are. :eek9: Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just ride no matter what to get my lungs back up to snuff...:jiggy9:

FYI, the brace is not the electronic unit I was so excited to get...just an alternative that isn't as expensive and one that BCBS will pay for. They denied the unit the first time and even on an appeal.:sad9: So if I want it...I got to pay lots of :money: out of pocket to get it. So we'll see :mmm:

I rode today also. I bundled up and when I started it was cloudy and a cold wind was blowing in my face. I thought to myself "Dittrich you're an idiot for riding today!!" (No comments from the peanut gallery!!!)

But.... I kept riding. The SUN came out (made a BIG difference), wind calmed and I had a wonderful 18.9 mile ride on Red.

I was looking for Buddy the whole time but I didn't see him. He must not be riding today!!!! It is probably too cold for his old bones!

Way to go Jon. I rode alone again today on the Thursday schedule.
Didn't ride the full 13 miles. Took a short-cut. It was a beautiful day.
    No wind and 44 degrees.

40 F?? I'd be thrilled to death with that right now! I remember last year it sounded/felt cold, but not this year. I think my current new limit is 25/26 F when it used to be about 44 F.

This morning it's 0 F. I don't think even two more layers under my lycra with under my bullet-proof thermals would be enough to get me to cycle in that! Brrr.

The first Monday I have available (because I have to take a 1/2 day off work) is 2/27. I have it on my calendar. Now let's hope the weather is good! :cool9: If not, we will have to plan another date.

Why don't the rest of you folks put that on your calendar and join us??? This could be the early Spring RRI ride!

Buddy, could you post the map ride, cue sheet and the directions for getting to the starting point for us folks who have never been there before?

I rode a little bit more today. No sunshine but no rain either. I was layered and even had my cap on this time. Forgot my winter gloves!:no9: (tsk) Hands got real cold! rode probably a couple of miles altogether, if you include all the figure eights and donuts I Did in my parking lot:jiggy9:. Brace almost locked up and caused a wreck:eek9:Going to have to work on that some more. Didn't feel too bad after I got back either...:jiggy9:I'll get there...I plan on being at least 85-90% my old self by the end of spring. We'll see...

Got a real cold 23.1 mile ride in yesterday on a club ride. If they old group aged 66, 67 65, can show up in freezing weather I am too!

Only bad thing that happend was before I left the house I placed my Garmin 305 on the roof of my car..YUP i took off and now someone probably owns a nice Bike GPS. I looked all over for it but never found it. I just had to order another from eBay--Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
