2012 SMOKY MTN. RECUMBENT RALLY (SMRR)

I don't know if I said anything or not, but I've also got some photos to load, but they'll have to wait until I return from Ky.

 

On Facebook those who "follow" bentrider online got a post with Mr. Varner's nice article about the SMRR. Several people replied, asking how to get on the mailing list for the 2013 SMRR. I mentioned that they might want to "like" U-Man Power on FB, since updates about SMRR would likely show up there. But, organizers of SMRR may want to post something more official. Maybe even start a SMRR page on FB.

 

Well I've already gotten some ideas for my list of things to do for next year. I am thinking I may set it up for the fall so that we can really enjoy the color of the leaves. I am not sure yet because since Townsend is a hot place for folks to have weddings... I've also got to make sure it doen's interfere with any particular holidays etc. For starters, I need to check around at some of the meeting/event places to see what they may have available for next year (yes it pays to check in advance). I'll post a new thread when I have some more concrete details.

 

You won't have the luxury of a traffic-less Cades Cove ride after Sept. In fact leaf peeper traffic will be awful except maybe on a weekday.

 

Well that is why I said I was "thinking" about it. The last "carless" weekend is near the end of Sept. IF I were to have the rally it would be before the end of the month. Again, I am only thinking about things. Nothing concrete for quite a while.
