    Hey All,
Thought I'd throw this out to everyone in the area. My wife and I were planning a trip to Dallas and a pedal around the Lake this coming weekend. The Texas Catrike Forum folks have expressed mucho enthusiasm for the idea and someone mentioned posting it over here as well.
We're meeting up on Saturday at 8am at a place not yet decided, but probably near White Rock Lake.
Keep an eye on this thread and I'll put information up as I get it.
Very informal easy ride to enjoy the friendship of the 'bent folks in Dallas and surrounding areas.

    We had a blast!!!
I keep losing track, but I think we had 8-10 trykes and a couple of two wheelers in our little group. I was truly surprised by how many people stopped and took pictures as we slipped by.
Brenda and I really enjoyed the trail and the company. Again, soon, when it's not so mercilessly hot?

Enjoyed meeting you folks and sure had a blast riding with you. C'mon back anytime. We probably won't have a break in the heat before October, but there is always night riding. There is a really fun ride in September, the Skittles Waco Wild West Ride . It draws a big crowd and there are usually several recumbents, including trikes. As with most of these large group rides there are several routes to choose from: 10, 26, 50, 65, and 100 miles. The Mars Snackfood Company sponsors one of the rest stops at their factory, along the 50, 65, and 100 mi routes and you get to have as much of their candy (Snickers, M&M's, Skittles, etc) as you can stand. Its quite a lot of fun. We have done this ride the past two years with my son's Scout Troop. The Scouts have to do a 50 mile ride to earn the Cycling Merit Badge. Its amazing how well free candy works as incentive to complete that 50 miles. :laugh9:
