Appreciate that, I’ll have a look right now. I have never been on that site.

Wow! How did I not know about that site! Curious they don’t cover delta trikes, admittedly the minority.

OP - if the ice you test has they ergo-luxe seat…they are dreamy!

Hello! The Ice trike that I’m looking at does not have the Ergo-Luxe seat cover on it. Part of the reason the price is much less than the normal HD. Upgrading from the Ergo-Flow seat cover included to the Ergo-Luxe seat cover is 239.00. In my mind, I can utilize what is provided and upgrade and still be money ahead. The stock Adventure HD without the extras and with the Ergo-Luxe seat starts at 4650.00. I hope they will actually get one in or have the ability to order it. From pictures, it looks like a better trike than the Greenspeed. The lime green color is amazing too

Hello! An update. I found a Cat Trike Villager that I’m going to go look at. It is from 2015 and per the lady selling it “was gently used by my dad”. From the pics, it looks amazing and it is about 2 hours away from me. Is there anything I should be looking at when purchasing a used trike?

Finding the right trike is a process. It took me 2 years to find the right one.
Test ride all the models you can, the right one will find you!

Hello! Kind of like finding a rescue dog. The right one will find you. Hope I can go look at it this weekend. I really want to get riding.

Deciding is the worst part! In my experience, I've had several trikes that were all awesome and wonderful, just in different ways. I still have a few. :smile9: It's like deciding what you're in the mood to eat for dinner....

Never ridden with indirect steering, but it appears to be a lot of added parts and weight to do what direct steering does. Personally I like the road feel of direct steering. But steering is secondary to finding a trike that is comfortable and that you will use. My Catrike 700 has my butt less than 9" off the ground and getting out of it is a process. But the seat is comfortable and the trike is fast. Also don't worry if your weight is near or even over the weight limit rating. They are overdesigned and can handle a fair amount of extra weight. Besides, if you ride it enough that may become nothing to even give a thought about.

Whatever you buy, it's worth taking it to a multi-brand trike dealer and having them "FIT" the trike to YOU!! If it's set up right for you, most trikes are comfortable and the ride is good! Yes, the all have their pro's and con's but any marquee level trike is a blast to ride if it FITS, jmho. Let us know if the Catrike worked out for you and whatever you end up with, ENJOY the RIDE! :)

Well, I am a proud owner of a beautiful orange Cat Trike Villager. I had no problem paying their asking price. It came with a good pair of clipless pedal shoes as well. The only thing that is broken is the plastic coupler for the cat trike flag. It is in immaculate condition. I will bring it in to a bike shop to get it looked at and fitted for my size. More info and pictures to follow. Made in the USA too. I am very appreciative of everyone’s words of wisdom or opinion.

Can't go wrong with a CatTrike! I've had the spaceframe versions of the Road, Trail, Villager and Speed, and still have a Trail with the Fairfield cyclery SRAM Red upgrades. But I've never had one of the newer ones with adjustable seat or folding frame.

You know how it works in the forums, right? "Pics, or it didn't happen". :smile9:

I got some shoes with the trike. I have so much to learn. Do you think my local trike dealer will be “put out” if I showed up with this trike and have them do a fitting and tune up on it? I was looking at something that was 3x the price, but I want to make sure it is something I will enjoy and use before dropping that kind of money. I hope this makes sense. Thanks folks, I am appreciative of your advice! I promise to post pictures of the trike tomorrow when it is daytime.

If it's a good shop they will take care of you and try to build a relationship for your next purchase...at least that's my opinion. And if they make suggestions about chain lube, accessories you need, etc. don't be afraid to help them out as they help you.
