It's been raining a lot lately so a roof has been added to the trike. Just big enough to keep the rain off my head and upper body. The top half of the windscreen has been left open for now until I get a chance to ride in the rain and see how it performs. If need be a clear panel can be velcroed on. It was raining today but stopped just as I went for a ride. Also, I may have been wrong thinking it's a power hog. Using just one of the 2 17.5AH batteries so far I've ridden 55 km's or almost 30 miles. And the battery just dropped to 48.7 volts so it should be good for more distance yet.

It was 95F degrees here today, so when I saw you with a jacket on I just had to look up the page and see where you are located...far from here in TN.

We get weather extremes here. As hot as plus 100 in summer and as cold as minus 30 in winter. So most homes have both central air and furnaces. The jacket was a waterproof shell because I was expecting rain. For context Winnipeg is about 100 miles North of Grand forks N. Dakota

Update about "mileage", Not sure mileage is a proper term to list distance covered but it is easy to understand so mileage it is. Went for a ride with a friend on a homemade trike who uses a GPS so had a chance to correct my speed and that also corrects the distance. My indicated 20kph was actually 18kph. Voltage started at 54.6 ended at 44.7 volts with a distance of 95 km's. If I deduct 10 from that and was to use both batteries I get 170 km's which is a bit over 100 miles. I usually run in power level 2 and at an average corrected speed of 17kph which translates to a bit over 10 mph. This trike was built for relaxed cruising so all in all I'm pleased with it.
