I'm making the switch from upright to bent, mostly due to health issues. I'm looking for a small frame tour ez with all the extras I can get. I live in Ilinois and I'm willing to drive a couple of states to pick it up if necessary.

:welcome6: Cindy! This search will sort of give you an idea of what they've been selling for. Sadly though, our CLBot is no longer picking up ads from Craigslist since they disallowed RSS feeds back in June of this year. :embarrassed9:

Anyway don't overlook Onecraigs or Searchcraigslist, where you can search all of Craigslist at one time!

    AD Carson bike

Two things that indicate that is an AD Carson Tour Easy. The seat and location where Carson pictures a lot of his bikes. [IMG]

He may have or may build a small frame.

It has a 69" whelbase. That is likely a Medium or close to a Medium Large.

Hey Buddy, per his information about this bike it is a rebuilt Tour Easy...

"All other parts beyond the basic frame on this bike were assembled here at RR. That is a new Recycled Recumbent sling seat on this bike. The handlebar is the altered Rans Chopper Bar I use on my bikes. It has a Terracycle idler for the new chain. Gearing on this bike is 3x8 for 24 gears. V-brakes front and rear. The fork is a 'spare' Tour Easy fork I had in stock here. I have not restored the Tour Easy decals on the bike. The burnt orange powdercoat of course is a new paint job."

I remember AD posting about this frame when he repaired it. It had a cracked head tube and he fixed it by brazing it and sleeving it. The consensus was that this was a good fix. AD builds 'clones' and you can tell the difference between his and actual TourEasys by looking at the stays. TE stays go straight to the dropouts while the clones have bends in the 'seat stays.' Also, upon close inspection you can see where he cuts the frames behind the Bottom Bracket shells. (But that's mostly hidden by the chain and crankset.)

The seat in the picture looks precariously near the rear tire.

I gave up on finding a used tour easy, and ordered a new one. It should be here this week. Thanks for the comments.
